Look who showed up at Family Christmas Night ...

Pretty cool, especially if you are a preschool kid! If you don't tell, I'll let you in on a secret. They aren't the real Mr. & Mrs. Clause, however, they are a set of grandparents from my class. They volunteered to come to the Christmas Family night as a surprise to all of the families. They did a great job!

How fun!

All school activities have been canceled this week due to the weather. I highly doubt we'll have school tomorrow or Friday either. An extra week of Christmas Vacation? Insanity.

We've yet to see the big guy. There is one place in Albany that he frequents called Storybook Land, which is a really cool place to visit - but it is inside the fairgrounds so you freeze. In these cold temps I'm not prepared to take the Caboose out.

2 years ago we were at Arby's on a late winter evening. And old guy in whiskers and his curly white haired wife were sitting across from us -- and a little kid ran from the other tables and stood in front of them. After staring at them for a while (ignoring his mother calling him) he said, "Are you coming to my house this Christmas?"

The old guy was sort of taken back, but the older woman took hold of the little boys hand and asked, "Have you been a good boy this year?"
